After adding the nodes , there is a question like this:

AVAILABILITYZONE CCa 10.77.20.155
AVAILABILITYZONE |- vm types free / max cpu ram disk
AVAILABILITYZONE |- m1.small 0000 / 0000 1 128 2
AVAILABILITYZONE |- c1.medium 0000 / 0000 1 256 5
AVAILABILITYZONE |- m1.large 0000 / 0000 2 512 10
AVAILABILITYZONE |- m1.xlarge 0000 / 0000 2 1024 20
AVAILABILITYZONE |- c1.xlarge 0000 / 0000 4 2048 20

Why the free/max value is zero?
I can list all the nodes on the CLC front end:

[root@CLC /]# euca_conf --list-nodes
registered nodes:
10.77.20.156 CCa

But, the free/max value is zero.

I have check the xen configuration and the firewall&Selinux configuration on nodes. But the free/max value is still zero.

I don't kown why . Who can help me? thank you so much!!

please check the cc.log and the nc.log (respectively on the CC machine and the NC machine): you need to check that the CC is trying to poll the NC, and that the NC is been polled (if at all). Checking others logs may be beneficials too. You can look at our troubleshooting guide for info where to find the logs.

Sometimes the nc service on

Sometimes the nc service on the node controller does not start automatically upon startup.

On the Node Controller, start the nc service and then recheck the availability ..

check nc

cat $EUCALYPTUS/var/log/eucalyptus/euca_test_nc.log
If there is an error please correct it using xend.config file (mostly unix socket problem)
