Hello,
I tried to ask for help on the forums yesterday and today. Two of my posts were flagged as spam.
How can I avoid that posts are rejected?
Thanks
Jakob
I have the same problem too...
I just spent some time looking over at why so much ham was being marked as spam. It looks like the biggest culprit was a check for urls in posts.
The server configuration was tweaked after we had another rash of spam for wunder drugs, magical shoes that can make you run four minute miles, and other garbage. Unfortunately I was a little bit too focused on the spam content and forgot that we all ask for and post logfiles which contain many duplicate urls. Other filters started getting incorrectly trained on what was spam and what was ham. This is when lots of legitimate content started getting incorrectly marked as spam.
Some people that had ham mislabeled as spam got hit by another pair of filters when they got frustrated and repeatedly reposted the same content over and over. First a duplicate content filter would kick in and then their ip address would get blocked. This is the pit that you fell into arshadnoor.
The situation was not pretty should be much better as of a few hours ago and will continue to improve over the next week or two. If a post or comment does get marked as spam, please do send feedback. I will be monitoring the feedback very closely as we try to get things back to normal.
Best,
Ian
I made a new topic in the general forum on thursday, and it was marked as spam.
The day after it seemed that the topic had been accepted by the admin, since i could see from the main page of the forum that the lase message post on the "General" was mine. But actually if i enter the forum i can't find my topic, i tried all the sorting available and also tried to search for it why google... is it vanished? Shall i repost it?
Wedro,
I just unpublished and republished your post. This is yet another issue we have with the spam module. It seems to be publishing comments and nodes but not firing the appropriate published events that the forum hooks into to update the indexes.
You should be good to go now. If you or anyone else runs into this again, please feel free to pm me about it.
