Hi,
I have just started to work with eucalyptus a month ago. So, I have two scenario based questions in terms of Eucalyptus cloud.
1. I am having a requirement to upgrade a VM while in running state. Say, I am running a VM (m1.xlarge), at one point of time when the VM requires more computation, without terminating the VM i need to upgrade to VM (c1.xlarge). Can any one help me through this ?
2. Here I have one more scenario, say I am having 4 dual-core machines and configured to Node controller. can i run one 8 core machine ? does the eucalyptus divides the computation this way ?
Thanks in advance
Logskish
I am afraid but answer to both of your questions as far as my understanding goes is "no".
But about question 1 it seems AWS EC2 is doing that sort of thing maybe its just about time you might see this coming in Eucalyptus considering the fact that hypervisors are getting evolved and libvirt is growing.
