Greetings,

The Eucalyptus team would like to announce the public availability of
a new release candidate (1.4rc2) for the next version of Eucalyptus (v1.4). There
were several issues from (1.4rc1) that have been resolved. Most notably, (1.4rc2) includes
fixes that resolve problem cases where non-admin users were unable to
register/run instances. We would like to thank the community in
general for their helpful feedback, and "cwindenver" in particular for
helping us with some build issues.

REMINDER The RCs are intended for beta testers who are willing to try
out the software that has not been fully tested or properly
documented. In addition, we do not support installation upgrades for
the RCs. That is, an RC SHOULD NOT be used to upgrade a functioning
Eucalyptus installation -- any system-maintained meta-data (including
user accounts and state) will be reset by an RC and cannot be
retrieved.

If you are interested in trying out the newest release candidate, you
can get started by following this link

Best regards,[]
The Eucalyptus Team
