Do you have 2048MB or more free on your node? Eucalyptus does not over provision memory.

I've retested it. If I gave the c1.xlarge instance 2048 MB or more Ram it will not start up. It stays pending and then terminats. If i gave that insance 2040 or lower Ram it starts. What is the problem? Sometimes we need Maschines with a large amount of Ram.

This is what I did. If I increase size to 2048 or more then the instance would not start.

Hello,

I assume this not an ECC problem: is that right?

Unless you are using a 32bit or very old distro (both may have issue with the magic 2GB mark) I'm not sure what that can be: can you tell us more about your installation, hardware and distribution?

cheers

Hi in my installation I use UEC Version (Ubuntu 10.04) with eucalyptus 1.6.2. It is a 32bit System. Underlaying hardware is a Dell R410 2x 4Core with 32 GB Ram.

Hello,

I suspect that the 32bit system may be a problem: can you try one node as 64bit installation to see if it solves this problem?

cheers
